The department contains 11 divisions devoted to the fields of magnetic resonance imaging, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal imaging, pediatric radiology, chest radiology, vascular radiology, emergency radiology, nuclear medicine, breast imaging, gastrointestinal/genitourinary radiology, head and neck radiology. Each section contains an extensive teaching file and some sections have developed interactive laser disc education programs.

ResearchThe goal of the International Visiting Fellowship is to provide a comprehensive, individualized exposure in state of the art imaging and intervention in an academic setting. Each visiting fellow is assigned one mentor in their field or fields of interest. The mentor’s responsibility is to provide supervision, and education through regular meetings with the fellow. Fellow involvement in research and paper writing is also possible. The fellow’s responsibility is to be present during the clinical work-day and attend the various conferences. Additional scheduled time for research is also possible. Rotations in a given subspecialty are no less than one month in length.

The Visiting Fellows will participate in the functions of the various specialized sections of the department, working in a clinical and educational environment emphasizing current clinical practices, newer radiological techniques, and the operation of state-of-the-art imaging modalities.
