NATIONAL VISITING FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM IN RADIOLOGY:
Diagnosis, Imaging, and Intervention
During the forthcoming year, the Department of Radiology of the Massachusetts General Hospital will offer several National Visiting Fellowships. These are designed to provide the postgraduate radiologist with an opportunity for specialized continuing education.
The National Visiting Fellows will participate in the functions of the various specialized sections of the department, working in a clinical and educational environment emphasizing current clinical practices, newer radiologic techniques, and the operation of state-of-the-art imaging modalities.
National Visiting Fellows may also have the option of a flexible course program, whereas they may choose to spend two days in one course and three days in another or, vice versa.
Specific educational opportunities include:
- Participation in review of daily case material.
- Review sessions with the faculty.
- Attending departmental and interdepartmental conferences.
- Self-instructional slide/tape and videotape programs.
- The Massachusetts General Hospital Radiology Teaching Collection.
As an organization accredited for continuing medical education, the American College of Radiology certifies that this continuing medical education program meets the criteria for 40 credit hours per week in Category 1, provided it is completed as designed.
Tuition Information:
Fellowships are offered during the academic year for one to six month periods. There are no National Visiting Fellowships available during the months of July and August. Tuition is $750/week.
