ABOUT FAGA

Florida Asian Golf Association (FAGA) was established in 2006 in hopes of bridging all cultures together for the love of the game. Our vision is to bring all golfers at all levels to enjoy one weekend of fun in Florida. In addition, FAGA strives to promote and recognize all Asian players who excel their game to the next level. Our inaugural tournament was played in Clearwater, Florida in 2006 and 2007 and had 30-40 players. The tournament moved to Orlando, Florida in 2008 for better location and venue for all players. Since the relocation, the FAGA Players Championship has grown to over 100 players.

FAGA believes that golf is an outlet to form life long lasting friendships. Through golf, we encounter friends from all walks of life. We appreciate all golfers for their love of the game. We do not judge or discriminate golfers for what they do in life. We only value a round of golf with all golfers for meaningful conversations and friendships.

FAGA agrees with Mr. Roland Merullo with his article in Golf Digest and his saying that “It’s amazing, you smack a little white ball across a few miles of mowed turf and it shows you–and your mates–exactly how human you all are: flawed, full of hope, willing to push hard against the limits of your ability, ready to laugh, curse, weep, try and keep trying. We Are One – Florida Asian Golf Association (FAGA) values all cultures coming together for a weekend of friendship. We are located in Orlando where it is the greatest entertainment capital of the world for families. FAGA is a premier golf event that caters to all levels of playing skills. We believe that you as a golf player is the most important thing at a golf tournament.

FAGA is the most diverse golf tournament in the country drawing players from 30 plus states, Canada and Mexico. We have players representing from different ethnic cultures such as American, Cambodian, Chinese, Filipino, Hmong, Korean, Lao, Latino, Mien, Thai, and Viet. Many players come from all occupations in which creates opportunities for networking throughout the country.

At FAGA, we are about providing the best possible tournament golf experience for all players. We are a golf tournament created by the players, for the players and giving back to the players. It is truly a weekend of fun and meeting new friends that will last a lifetime. The FAGA TOURANMENT EXPERIENCE IS EXTRMELY UNIQUE THAT NO OTHER TOURNAMENT CAN TRULY REPLICATE IT.

CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF COURSE

If you appreciate the legendary play of St. Andrews, Carnoustie and Turnberry in the British Isles, you’ll love the 27 holes of this magnificent links course. Royal St. Cloud Golf Links has a rolling layout of wide-terraced fairways, punctuated by classic links bunkers that feature names like Spectacles, Feather, Devil’s Pocket, Hoofprint and Hell’s Bunker. Unlike any other Orlando golf course, there are no houses, no gimmicks, and no cookie-cutter holes. Royal St. Cloud Golf Links has a great combination of Scottish-styled links features with a notable American flair for flawless fairways and silky-smooth Tifeagle greens.
